Meet Mr. Gus Ortega
Gus Ortega serves as the Assistant Director of Bands at
Northbrook High School in Houston, Texas.
About Mr. Gus Ortega
This is his 20th year teaching at NHS and 25th year teaching band in Texas.

His main instrument is saxophone. After high school he joined the military and served in the United States Air Force. After his enlistment ended he decided to go to college. He graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville in 1999.
He previously taught in Zapata High School as Assistant Band Director for a half of a year and then in Premont, Texas as the Junior High Band Director for two years and then as Head Band Director of Premont High School for another two years before moving to the Houston area.
